Call ahead to get information – Nothing is worse than showing up with insufficient funds for the door, no knowledge of specials, hours, prices, etc.  Call ahead and ask a few questions – times, cover charge, specials.  When you walk in with your posse and you know how shit rolls and they don’t, you’ve got some points ahead of the game.  The staff takes notice of who has their shit together and who doesn’t.
