Befriend the bartender

They are the eyes, ears and nerve center of any restaurant, bar and any other location where drinks are served. Bartenders hear and see it all – mainly due to the discussions held while waiting for drinks or enjoying one. Bartenders are, unfortunately, unseen entities by many until they need a drink.

Be different. See the bartender and wait staff as people. Not only because it’s the right thing to do and you’re a Player but also because a bartender as an ally is a major key to your night. They can tell you who to hang with, who to avoid, who to talk to and how the night is going to go. Ensuring you tip, always being patient, learning their name and legit talking when things are a bit slow are great ways to endear yourself to the master or mistress of mixology.
